Comedian, Kevin Hart, adds more to his plate as his company, Hartbeat Digital begins a business venture with Lionsgate. Hart and Lionsgate have history from 2013 when they released his stand-up special, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain. With 32 million followers on Instagram and 27 million on Twitter, Hart dives even further into the digital landscape with his future venture known as Laugh Out Loud.
Hart’s brainchild faces competition with other services such as Netflix, Hulu Plus and more. The difference between Laugh Out Loud and its competitors? As huge as the deal is for Hart and his associates at Lionsgate, Laugh Out Loud provides an avenue for upcoming talent. It focuses on comedic content providing rising comedians and social media stars a chance to further their prowess. Known from Facebook, yet extremely popular on Vine, Vine star, Logan Paul, will be one of the first to star in an original series on Laugh Out Loud.
Laugh Out Loud will jump out the gate with scripted and unscripted content ranging from 3 to 5 minutes in length. Some of Hollywood’s most established directors, writers and producers are diligently working to prepare for the service’s launch.
At the forefront of his new streaming platform, Hart will kick off Laugh Out Loud with a hidden camera show with him posing undercover as a Lyft driver.
Kevin is also working to develop a mobile adventure game. The game will allow users to be comedy rock stars who perform on nationwide tours, act in movies, etc.
