Mr. West is riding the Waves of Pablo!
After FINALLY making his album The Life Of Pablo available for streaming on other music services far beyond TIDAL, Kanye West is starting to see the rewards of his works pay off. This week TLOP begun charting on the Billboard 200 chart, earning Kanye his seventh consecutive number 1 album. With this accomplishment comes history, as Kanye is the only artist to score a number 1 album through streaming solely. This milestone has been accomplished on streaming, and digital downloads through TIDAL only. Not even a single video has been made in effort to promote the album, until now.
It appears that Kanye is set on the single “Waves” to lead the project. According to reports from Daily Record, a Scottish publication. Kanye and his entourage shot a music visual for “Waves” while visiting Scotland, on Sunday April 10th. He and the team rented out seven of the 14 rooms at Skeaboat House Hotel, that referred to him as “the perfect guest- charming, courteous and polite.”
Far as the details pertaining to the video, they’re slim to none. A spokesperson revealed, “It was all very exciting,” and “He was very busy and didn’t have a lot of time,” a spokesperson for the hotel says. “He was definitely here to work.” The owners of the hotel added “We were delighted to offer him and his companions our usual Highland hospitality and would welcome him back any time.”
