Charlamagne Tha God will always be known as “the prime minister of pissing people off, the ruler of rubbing you the wrong way and the architect of aggravation,” as he likes to call himself. And if you keep up with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, where Charlamagne co-hosts alongside, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, then it is no surprise that Charlamagne has in so many ways pissed people off. While some viewers are appreciative of his brutal honesty, which has kept what could be forty minutes of an interview quite entertaining, calling out big name entertainers and nearly getting into arguments on-air ultimately got him into some trouble throughout the years.
Last year Noisey interviewed Charlamagne in which he was asked if the controversial questions he asks on The Breakfast Club are to start up drama or for simply entertainment:
“Absolutely not. It’s not even about entertainment, it’s just the fact that I’m a consumer like everybody else. I see what’s going on. I’m totally aware of everything that’s going on. The difference between me and everybody else is, I don’t have to just tweet about it. I can ask the person right then and there.”
Check out some of Charlamagne’s most controversial interviews below and tell us if you think he is purposefully starting drama or nah.
