Clarinetist, Eun, an Asian, Black Lives Matter activist is tackling a widespread issue of what she calls an “inconsistency” of every other genre but classical; who is accepting POC’s. How is she tackling this issue? Her plan of attack is through an activist-oriented orchestra dedicated to incorporating black women and transgender POC’s in her organization. She hopes to shed light and equality to the vast African-American race who were subject to racism, brutality and lack of representation. Check out the video below to witness the purpose and importance of such a huge step towards racial equality in not only America but within the performing arts.
