Coming up, one of my favorite pastimes was sitting in front of the television with my younger brother, watching some National Geographic special (about the safari or something) and narrating what we thought was going on. Maybe we were weirdos or something, but we were really intrigued by the idea of animals being able to think and speak the same way that we do, as humans. Apparently Snoop Dogg shares that same sentiment, as he has premiered the first episode of his new series, Planet Snoop.
If you have a good enough memory, you’ll recall that Planet Snoop first began to take shape on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in a segment called Plizzanet Earth, which saw Snoop providing hilarious voiceovers for the interactions of animals in the wild. His commentary on the alligator versus the “mongooses” is nothing short of classic.
In episode one of Planet Snoop, viewers are treated with a short clip of a squirrel taking on a snake, and everything is funny. First off, who even knew that squirrels preyed on snakes, or meat period? I guess amidst the humor, there’s some education thrown in there as well. Then of course, this clip is filled with one-liners for days. Quotes like “The squirrel is hard! What gang he from?” and “That ain’t Alvin, Simon or Theodore” (who are actually chipmunks, Snoop) are sure to have you in stitches.
Check out the inaugural installment of Planet Snoop, below and stay tuned for more clips like this one.
