RESPECT. Premiere: JCharmz - 'Dope Sex' (Prod. by KAHLI) - RESPECT.

Atlantic City, NJ singer/song-writer, JCharmz, first began singing at church when he was a child. “My mom would take me to church, and I would sing there, but growing up, Michael Jackson and Smokie Robinson played a huge influence on me wanting to be an artist,” says Charmz. The young crooner is definitely a fan of the old school, so much so, he jumped at the opportunity to sing background vocals for international star Alfie Capers before when he performed in Atlantic City.

Fast forwarding to present day, JCharmz has written records for Nickelodeon Child web-star Dwayne Cooke and co-written records for Grammy nominated producer DJ Camper (Big Sean, Jay Z, John Legend). He has indeed proven to be a talented vocalist and is now working on his debut project, The Audition.

I want to be able to make any type of song. I don’t want to be put in a box, and that shows in The Audition. I try to be as diverse as possible. There is going to be a song on there for everybody. I know that’s cliche but you can expect different feelings…It’s going to be an experience.

Today, JCharmz has chosen to share the first single from The Audition, which is a catchy, club-ready banger entitled “Dope Sex.” Using some “menacing, but also sexy” production from KAHLI, where he finds himself sprung off a girl with irresistible loving. Comparing her love to drugs, the NJ crooner can’t help but to feel like a fiend asking for more.
