Check out Joey Bada$$’ interview with Shade 45, updating us on his new ventures
Joey Bada$$ stops by the Shade 45 studios to chop it up and talk about new music, new learning experiences, and much more. Joey is at a turning point in his career, where it feels like he’s stepping into a different role in Hip-Hop.
“This is only the ending of the beginning,” Joey said. Fully aware that he’s turning the page in his notebook to begin working on new work, Joey has a lot to offer to his fans.
“It’s been my dream to act since I was in 8th-9th grade,” Joey revealed. “I feel the music made it a little bit easier to chase that dream. It was just announced that I will be on the new season of Mr. Robot.”
Aside from his new endeavors with acting, Joey is also sitting on a ton of new music.
“I am sitting on about 80 tracks,” Joey revealed. It’s not hard to believe, with the chemistry that Joey and Statik Selektah have.
“I may just drop an album this summer. I may drop another in December,” Badmon revealed.
Joey has been feeling he’s held so much music from his fans over the year (in the sense of free releases) and now he’s in the zone of giving back to them. His latest single Brooklyn’s Own is the latest collaboration between himself and Statik Selektah.
To end the interview, Joey goes in over Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones,” A Tribe Called Quest’s “Award Tour,” and more.
