In a genre of copycats and decreasing originality, Al Koleon is his own man. The New Jersey native eschews trendy rap crazes in favor of thoughtful street music reflective of his upbringing. Al’s imprint Outtfitt Music’s established a strong grassroots following in the Midwest collaborating with Freddie Gibbs and LEP and hitting the stage with 2 Chainz, Nelly and Young Buck. In January, Al released the third installment of his GED series, a balanced effort of lyricism and anthemic rap-alongs that only a true artist can offer.
With his recent drop of the long-awaited EP, Cloud Surfing, Al has been taking no breaks from keeping the content coming, especially when it comes to the visual side of things.
This week, Al Koleon returns to the small screen with a new video for “In The Field.” The stark black and white visual is the latest collaboration between the Outfitt Music CEO and director, Nick Brazinsky (Diddy, Snoop Dogg). The video bears a drastic contrast from the warm visuals Al offered previously from his Cloud Surfing project, showing off his versatility as both a musical and visual artist.
Catch Koleon on the road this summer for a 7 city tour and watch both visuals below.
