Maybach Music Group general, Rick Ross gives his offering to Kanye West‘s banger “Famous” produced by Swizz Beatz. This is the second artist to remix a track from The Life Of Pablo as Stefan Ponce’s delivered a “I Love Kanye” remix.
Rozay is no stranger to remixing a Kanye West track from his past release that include “Flashing Lights,” which appeared on his Renzel Remixes mixtape. The original song stays the same with Rihanna’s hook and Kanye’s bridge but the Teflon Don delivers his own set of bars in the middle of the track. The Miami native keeps his mafia boss influenced flow as he raps, “If you not a playboy that’s something I can’t endorse/Win, lose, or draw/William living like he Biggie Smalls/Balling its tax season/I was born to be a boss.”
Ross seemed to have another agenda on his mind by coming to save his fellow label mate, Meek Mill, by sending subliminal shots at Drake in the beginning of his verse. He raps, “The aura arrogance is been known to fill the room/Boom, little nigga who are you?/Roc-A-Fella Records on record to kill a crew.” It could be a reference to Drake’s “Summer Sixteen,” where the Toronto artist compared himself to Jay-Z.
Take a listen to Rick Ross’ remix of “Famous” and tell us what you think. Is he dissing Drake?
