Kodak Black has come through with his second loose release in a week, following his freestyle over Goodie Mob’s classic “Cell Therapy.” Just a few days ago, he appeared on French Montana’s Wave Gods mixtape, guesting on the track “Lockjaw.” Now he returns with a new one called “I Wanna Rock”. The song is more inclined with the type of music his fans have come to expect from him. It carries that same formula as some of his earlier tracks. Not to say it is a bad thing, if anything it shows that he hasn’t switched up. The record carries that same raw energy with plethora of heartfelt raps over relatively tranquil instrumental. It’s that combined recipe that makes Kodak so unique. On “I Wanna Rock”, Kodak raps about his mighty come-up with blunt honesty that over time has helped him carve out his own lane in rap.
