Toronto’s Jazz Cartier who is also referred to as Jacuzzi Lafleur makes a return with his most cinematic music video to date for the standout single “Opera” from his new album, Hotel Paranoia .
Over the last year Jazz Cartier has become one of the most exciting acts of Toronto who has even hit the US market big and from the looks of it, his journey to a whole lot more success has not been dulled down in anyway. His latest music video is a proof of that.
In his video Jazz becomes the “phantom of the opera” roaming the streets of Italy and exploring their beautiful architecture, exploring places like their signature canals and waterways of the Italian city, ultimately finding his way into the La Fenice Opera House. Kyle Sanderson-directed video enriches the song by bringing all of it’s obstacles to life, making it a one big theatrical act. Which leads the fans back to the original themes of the song.
In his interview with RESPECT Magazine, Jazz explains how being on the road inspired his latest album, explaining “A lot of the ideas stemmed from being on the road more so on my down time in my hotels. As a personal continuation in terms of growth from MIP, I feel like this time around I was more aware of the story line and where I could take it. The song writing has improved a lot. The confidence in the record is more present then it was on MIP”
