Drake just doused more fuel to the “Drake versus Meek Mill” flame. To the people who are Drake fans- you guys divided and conquered. To the people who are Meek Mill fans- despite “Back to Back” and countless internet memes, Meek Mill is still a talented lyricist in his own right. We can agree on that. Before this rap battle, Meek Mill’s album was number one in the country. Can’t we all just get along? Once this rap battle ensued, it took on a life of its own. This hip-hop enigma has defied time. In 2016, this is still relevant. It has pervaded our thoughts in ways we never would have thought imaginable.
Yes, Drake did take a subtle jab at Meek Mill on television recently. Yes, it was met with awkward smiles and earth shattering silences. Yes, this was probably the highlight of the show. No, Meek Mill probably isn’t too happy about this and is probably somewhere writing a response. But enough about that though- Drake and Kevin Hart were being interviewed by an ESPN reporter at the NBA All-Star Celebrity game when it all went down. To us, this is just water under the bridge, but you can decide. Check it out below.
