Coming straight outta Jersey — Newark, specifically — is Pure (a.k.a. Rolling Stone P). Just like other New Jerseyans that made it big, musically, Pure is big on where he’s from. “Newark molded me to be the man/artist that I am. The hood is the best place to understand expression and by any means to be heard.”
Unlike other up-and-comers that often fake it until they make it, Rolling Stone P crafted and curated his very own lane. His SoundCloud account does number like it’s pop. The plus side: it’s organic. “I produce unconsciously. I don’t care about what’s hot or what’s in. I just go for what I’m feeling,” he stated. His social media proves that. Coming from Jersey, he follows the right people (read: culture pushers).
