Yalamusiq and Beau Young Prince lustfully journey through the night on “Circumstances.” Ingeniously and craftily sampling the horns from Wreckx-n-Effect’s ’92 record “Rump Shaker,” (yes, from ’92) YM’s Jazz-infused, Digital R&B production is crafted around a vocal which places Beau Young Prince in the midst of artistic, albeit literal, indulgence, highlighting the triumphant vices of artist life. As the follow-up to “One Night” the DC/NY bond that has formed sonically on “Circumstance” appears to be on the cusp of pushing a futuristically chill vibe that much more into the future.
