Last year Kelela liberated her outstanding EP Hallucinogen, consisting of several awesomely crafted R&B records which included “Rewind”. Now Goldlink and Louie Lastic re-work the smashing song into a high-energy garage-infused track by switching up the instrumental, making the remix very fitting for any occasion. GoldLink also went right ahead and added a verse to the record.
Kelela describes the remix as “one of the smartest” remixes she’s heard in a long time. You can hear her rave about the new version, as well as give an update on her upcoming full-length album following the track, as she talks to BBC1’s Annie Mac.
