Earl Sweatshirt dropped off three tracks, “SKRT SKRT” is one of two instrumentals created by him. The song features heavy bass hits and a melody that sounds like a reversed sample of some horns and strings. The reversal of the sample makes it sound almost foreign. The song features screwed vocals buried deep in the instrumental of the Atlanta rapper 21Savage‘s infamous track “Skirtt Skirtt.” From listening to the track, it is hard to say this is an official remix of the 21Savage’s notorious record. Only indication that’s given is the accompanied artwork which is a photo of Earl Sweatshirt and 21Savage. It would be even better news if these two are actually in the studio cooking something up as we speak and indulge in this lo-fi feel instrumental. Only time will tell.
