Syracuse, NY rapper Seth Dollar is preparing for his forthcoming Vanity mixtape and has decided to treat his following to the official music video for his single, “Call Me.” The offering sounds much more like an interlude than the stereotypical single you may be used to, but it is catchy and serves a purpose nonetheless. Seth croons his lyrics as he weaves in and out of the atmospheric production and voice messages planted within the song. His approach is Kanye-like in that Seth definitely doesn’t mind challenging what’s expected to get a concept across. The video, directed by Allen Chiu, finds Seth alone (for the most part) reflecting on people trying to get in touch with him. It’s chilling, yet intriguing at the same time.
