Harlem’s Dave East keeps racking up the W’s with “Winners Never Lose.” With all the talk surrounding bringing back NY’s “Golden Era” sound, Dave East’s brand of NY pays homage to the Mecca, while ushering in a tangible, lyrics-first approach that the younger generation can understand. As basically the Mass Appeal frontman (aside from Nas of course) East’s braggadocios content and desire to achieve is evident in “Winners Never Lose;” a sonic attribution to the will power and never-wavering grind that he continuously embodies. Dave East is Harlem. Dave East is Hip-Hop.
