This past Saturday night was one for the books. The Conglomerate and Hot 97 teamed up to bring fans the Busta Rhymes and Friends: Hot for the Holidays concert.
Newark’s Prudential Center was on fire as rapper Busta and Spliff Star hit the stage in Coming to America inspired costumes.
Busta and his friends certainly showed out in Newark. Artists such as Rah Digga, Naughty by Nature, Sean Paul, Junior Reid, Capone-N-Noreaga, French Montana, Rick Ross, and many more all took the stage.
One of the many highlights from the concert included when Mary J. Blige took the stage. Fresh off of her role as Evillene in The Wiz, Mary and her two step performed a melody of her hits. The crowd harmonized with Mary as she performed “Be Happy,” “Real Love,” and “I Can Love You” with Lil Kim!
Shortly after, New Jersey native Fetty Wap hit the stage to perform “Trap Queen,” “679,” and more of his hits. Busta even took some time out of the show to show Fetty some love for performing at his son’s graduation party.
More performances from Jermih, Rick Ross, Lil Wanye, Diddy and even A Tribe Called Quest continued to keep the crowd hype throughout the night. All in all Busta and his many talented friends brought a very memorable night to the Prudential Center! Checkout some videos and more pictures from the show below!
