The visual accompanying “Dead Presidents” may be smooth, but Lauren Declasse’s lyrical attack on the track is vicious. The clip takes us into the day in the life of a dude and his rider, spending quality time by catching a lick, picking up a stash and hitting a get together.
Declasse’s wordplay and speedy flow is relentless throughout, giving the listener only a quick reprieve during the buttery chorus. “Dead Presidents” seems to have hit the holy grail of hip-hop, by displaying lyrical capabilities next to a track you’ll want to have blasting in the V. Providing he keeps to his formula, Declasse will be getting “Dead Presidents” in cities all over.
Keep an eye out for the 19 year-old Brooklyn dweller as his career in hip-hop is looking very promising!
