Inspired by Hip-hop’s competitive nature, and hometown greats such as Kanye and Common, Chicago’s Kennelli aspires change the culture of women in Hip-hop with her music. On this new offering, “FREE AT LAST,” Kennelli gives us a taste of what to expect from her forthcoming Young, Happy, Poor project, which is slated for a 2016 release.
