Kendrick Lamar made a rare late-night TV appearance ,Wednesday, when he stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform a medley of hits. The California native is steadily establishing himself as one of rap’s most promising talents. Lamar was backed by three vocalists, a drummer, and two guitarists. He began his set with ” Wesley’s Theory” and ends it with a gripping rendition of ” King Kunta” and ” u”.
Dressed in all black and wearing corn-rolls, Lamar delivers an impressive spoken word interlude at the beginning of his set. As he performs, Lamar is backed by a stunning display of yellow, blue, and red hues. Needless to say, the crowd erupted when Lamar ended his performance and was joined onstage by Stephen Colbert.
