On Saturday morning, Trillectro opened their the doors to all the music lovers for their fourth annual festival. DCtoBC made sure this year was going to be even better than last, providing a larger venue and focusing more on the music experience. The festivities were located in their third home, Maryland (Merriweather Pavilion in Columbia, MD).
The field was filled up quickly with some of the most fashionable and diverse individuals, as well as the seats and floor.
The crowd had a huge response towards performances by Virginia’s two up and coming artists Masego (“Girls That Dance”) and D.R.A.M. (“Cha Cha”), along with Soulection’s Chris McClenney (MD) and Philly rapper Tuni Ige (PA). Of course everyone freaked out when Kehlani, Dom Kennedy, JMSN, RL Grimes, Cashmere Cat, and Chance The Rapper came on stage to perform/spin plenty of songs. Chance made sure he brought out The Social Experiment and Noname Gypsy for his performance as well. The beautiful hostess YesJulz kept the crowd pumped from 12pm til 10pm, creating twerk contests and passing out free merch.
One word to describe this year’s trillness? Incredible.
