After collaborating with rising DMV artists Jay IDK and Joey Green for her Canis Major-produced “Nagasaki Nuke” remix, Havana Seoul returns with a 6-track EP entitled, SeoulSZN. The project is just as much of an experience for listeners as it was for Havana Seoul during the creation of every song. In the intro video that is available upon download of the EP, Havana says:
“This past year has been a time of growth for me and consequently the brand that I’m crafting, Havana Seoul. With that said I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting with my sound. SeoulSZN is what that exploration sounds like. It’s summer car ride, pre-game music. It’s what it feels like doing 95 on I-95….”
This EP is truly a unique body of work that captures the artistry of Havana Seoul. Effortlessly juxtaposing party anthems like the iLoveMakonnen-inspired “Vintage” and Kam DeLa’s electronic “Nagasaki Nuke switchUP” with candid raps about homelessness in D.C. and racial inequality, Havana Seoul is charismatic and conscious on SeoulSZN.
