For reasons unknown, YouTube removed TDE’s account from the platform. The page featured music videos from all of its roster including flagship artist Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, SZA and Isaiah Rashad. When you head to their page now, the following message appears:
Top Dawg Entertainment has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.
If you aren’t in the know, the independent label’s star was sued recently by Italian photographer Giordano Cipriani because the camp has allegedly used his imagery for “The Blacker The Berry” artwork without his consent. Due to alleged unauthorized use of the controversial image above, the photographer is looking to cash in approximately $150,000 for the “damages”.
Really, I hope it’s resolved soon because, like many other loyal fans, I’ve spent many hours of my life on that page and I don’t want it to stop now.
Update: It’s back up!
