-What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
To be bigger than i was last year honestly. I feel like when getting into this music industry, it never stops, you’re always expected to release new material and do new things so it’s all about growing. Growing is the coolest part, because you see your transition and learn from it all. I just want to be as great as I can be, and then try to top that.
-What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
I’m not a role model or spokesperson for this so i wouldn’t be totally sure. I just like telling my story. Everyone has their own story and things that make them unique as a human in general so i’m just one of us telling my story hoping it can be the soundtrack to somebody life, if they take a good message from it then that’s cool too.
-How would you describe your own sound?
The sound is so life based. Me and my brother Wili Hendrixs really make music based on a setting or vibe of that day. We can never force ourselves to make a certain song, we just use life as that inspiration and pick from it. But to be technical, lol the sound varies alot i’m really into pads & cowbells, 808s, Hi-Hats and basically southern drum patters under weird west-coast feeling sounds maybe or even east coast fused with southern it mixes alot, never one particular sound. it’s so hard to explain. i’m the worst with that.
-What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
It’s totally normal and okay to fuck up. the most important thing is to take your time with it. something can always get better, its ok to get a perfect recording take and then do 100 more takes to make it better. take your time with your music and every aspect from videos to releasing, and just really presenting it. treat it like precious art cause it’s your art of course. be patient. Law 35, master the art of timing (48 laws of power).
