DMV native, Comrade just released the official music video for his Asa “Tru Soundz” Goodman-produced single, Clutch. The cinematic visual follows Comrade through his hood, slightly reminiscent to Wiz’s We Dem Boyz, as he is surrounded by his homies and beautiful women. Comrade makes it clear that he has an army of supporters with this one as he enters the scene casually hanging alongside his campaign truck.
The song’s hook, does exactly that, as it reels you in with a contagious repetition of the word “clutch.” Comrade uses his verses to address hard times in his city, difficulty receiving recognition, and of course, spit some braggadocious lines to remind us that he’s making moves. His highly anticipated sophomore mixtape, Last Summer is expected to drop July 31st.
