The Fader has teamed with Sprite to bring us brief, candid interviews with rappers such as Nas, Vince Staples, and OVO’s own, Drake. In the first video in the series, Drizzy discusses the notion behind him standing out in the rap game and the mentality that goes into breaking through barriers to make your presence known.
Throughout the video, you’ll hear Drizzy speak his peace as we are shown exclusive footage of the rapper living life. You’ll see views from the 6 (pun intended), him and his crew parlaying before the Sprite: Obey Your Thirst event, followed by showtime as he hits the stage at the end.
It’s a brief clip that shows you what kind of form he’s in, not only as an artist, but as a human being. He’s not worried about the nonsense that comes with success, he’s still focused on his craft and is keeping an eye out for those young, hungry cats who are aiming for his spot.
