The Fonk Lord, Elevator Jay, keeps it true to the South and Charlotte, NC with his new EP, Sum’na Say. Elevator doesn’t try to jump on the trends we are hearing come out of the South as of late, instead he keeps true his own sound. A sound that is filled with soul and elements reminiscent of old school hip-hop. His talents go beyond being a lyricist, with a majority of the album being self-produced, he’s an excellent producer as well. The greatest aspect of this project is he is the only one heard on it-no features allowed on Sum’na Say. Having no features really allows listeners to fully indulge in Elevator, his sound and messages. Check out Sum’na Say below.
