Toronto’s $ha is a rare breed of artist. Rising from the underground to almost cult level in the city, he’s continued to push sonic boundaries having been the first rapper to really make something hip-hop out of Eric Dingus’ ethereal, moody sound a couple of years back and being the only collaborator with Roy Wood$ outside of TRIPSIXX (who is featured on this project). $ha’s debut lacks nothing in that original mythical power as he plows through 9 songs of vast, atmospheric sounds that sound like modern-day version of trippy rock infused ballads. His street influenced raps are peppered with just enough sage to remind you that despite harsh realities, success is in the mind and not in what we see on a daily basis. GTA6 features Roy Wood$, Dej Loaf and TRIPSIXX along with production from BatmanOnTheBeatz, Eric Dingus, STRETCH, $ha himself and Chris Rose. Take a listen and be prepared to mentally drift.
