You’ve heard about it or even sung it in the midst of some action, but do you know the actual meaning behind that contagious Jhene Aiko line: “But he gotta eat the booty like groceries” Well, if you’re like most people, you think you know, but you don’t really know. Which is why Jhene hit up MTV’s Rob Markman for clarification. According to Jhene, she wanted her verse to be funny and memorable and it just so happened that groceries rhymes with “post to be.” She also further clarified that eating “groceries” is optional and could also be a metaphor for life.
