New York showed out this past Tuesday, June 23rd, for Albee Square’s celebration of the golden age of hip-hop and Brooklyn in general. With a loaded open bar of Heineken and red wine, nothing but classic tunes from Biggie, JAY Z and more great emcees spinning, and walls lined with throwback photos of the great ones to ooh and aah over, the good vibes were at an all time high. Event-goers posed with old school flicks of Biggie, JAY Z, Big Daddy Kane and more. Old school fashion was plastered on the walls as well, with photos showing off the vintage #LoLife movement that still lives today, as well as Pelle Pelle coats on display. It was a great time for reminiscing on the good old days for the older folks, and a dope first hand look at the past for us young folks who weren’t around to experience it ourselves.
