Saw these over at Sneakermob and was incredibly disappointed. I like the KD5, but only the original color way, everything else was basura. The KD6 was a classic and at the price point of $130, not too many shoes were beating it out. Couple that with the injury to Kobe (Kobe 8) and the ugliness and no court exposure of LeBron’s X, it was the go-to shoe. Kevin Durant didn’t wear the KD7, but I liked that sneaker and the KD elite’s look dope — but this? Nah bruh bruh. With the release date rumored to be July 11th, unfortunately this might be the shoe. KD released a sketch on his instagram and I’m starting to believe this is the shoe, but this can’t be the shoe! It looks more like a running sneaker. Is KD going to be running the break now? Did Billy Donovan insert a high tempo offense? I don’t get it. This sneaker is ugly. The first color way doesn’t help either. The kiddies will still cop ’cause it’s KD, but it seems like Nike might want to give PG13, Kyrie and James Harden better offerings or Under Armour will squeeze into their marketshare with reigning MVP Stephen Curry. Curry chicken anyone?
