A long time coming considering these two artists’ mutual respect, Kendrick Lamar threw a verse on Taylor Swift’s new single, “Bad Blood.” With Lamar’s verse comes on an updated beat, boasting a much more slick vibe. He even references his chorus from “Backstreet Freestyle”,a song off his major label debut, rapping, “All my life I got money and power/ and you got to live with the bad blood now.” In the past, Swift recorded herself lip-syncing to Lamar’s track last year, making it a natural fit for the verse.
Lamar is seen in the video alongside Swift as she trains to take on her arch nemesis, played by pop singer Selena Gomez. The video, debuted at the Billboard Music Awards, also features cameos from the likes of Jessica Alba, Ellie Goulding and Ellen Pompeo (the lead star of the show Grey’s Anatomy).
