Jersey’s own Freddy Stone has been on quite a run as of late, performing to sold out venues in New York City and dropping well-received new tunes. His most recent release is a stand out for sure. “Overdose” finds Freddy rhyming over a chopped-not-slopped Datamosh-produced instrumental sampling Britney Spear’s “Toxic,” using her “Too high, can’t come down,” metaphor for being high on love in a more literal sense in this case. The woozy beat paired with Freddy’s aggressive lyricism makes for a perfect introduction to this emcee, if you haven’t already heard his music. Listen to “Overdose” here and be on the look out for more from Mr. Stone.
