With less than a week away from the release of his highly anticipated new album, by Dom Kennedy, Dom Kennedy stopped by Los Angeles’ Real 92.3 for a long overdue interview with radio personality, Big Boy. During the extended interview, Dom details that independent grind, stating that it’s “more dark days than good days” but it’s more than worth it. He also points out how everybody starts out and ends up independent, from “Bill Withers to Beyoncé” and how in 2015 he’s his own favorite rapper. Check out the informative, yet humorous interview below to find out his original Leimert Park nickname, the logic behind his “the key to success is brushing your teeth” tweet and that one time he felt like quitting.
