Since last year, Forbes magazine has been ranking hip-hop acts on the basis of whether or not they have the potential to make their coveted Cash Kings list, which includes hip-hop’s high earners such as Diddy, Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Dr. Dre. The relatively new list, aptly entitled Cash Princes, features alum that have risen in rank since appearing on the list, such as Big Sean, A$AP Rocky and J. Cole.
This year’s inductees include DJ Mustard, YG, PartyNextDoor, Hit-Boy, Migos and Nipsey Hussle, who has made $60,000 to date off of his $1,000 “Mailbox Money“ mixtape. Criteria for being chosen to stand amongst the elite include being under the age of 30 by March 31st and not being previously featured on the Cash Princes or Kings list. Honorees were chosen by a panel of judges, including DJ Khaled, Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and Forbes’ senior editor Zack O’Malley Greenburg. Check out the full list HERE.
