Toronto rapper Psych has clearly been working on his craft. His new track “Shadow Land” stands out for it’s great sense of melody and atmospheric production (listen for the tasteful use of reverb in the chorus). The lyrics, dark and brooding, focus on Psych’s ambition. It might take some work for his song writing to become more engaging, considering a number of rappers are already approaching the same themes, but Pysch’s already got a great start with some solid production.
