Since gaining national attention with the viral “U Guessed It”, Atlanta’s OG Maco has taken off. Some predicted he would be a one-hit wonder, but the Quality Control signee proved them wrong. Over the last few months, he has delivered a stream of free music en route to giving us some of the best projects to come out of the South, such as the self-titled OG Maco EP and YEP, with Rome Fortune.
This week, he is back with another project to add to what is becoming a lengthy catalog; especially for an artist who is still at the early stages of his career.
Teaming up with Atlanta mainstay, super-producer Zaytoven, Maco brings forth his latest body of work, OG Zay, much earlier than it’s original summer release date. The 8 track EP is entirely produced by Zaytoven with Metro Boomin providing assistance on “Live From The 3”. Much like Future‘s Beast Mode, Maco and Zaytoven exhibit great chemistry throughout the entire project. The ATL rapper doesn’t miss a beat, flowing over the often sought after producer’s bouncy instrumentation. With no features, Maco puts his full set of skills on display, delivering strong verses that are enhanced by fitting, catchy hooks. The result is a set of bangers that have high replay value. Essential listens are “OG Mac”, “Live From The 3”, and “Pardon Me”. Stream OG Zay below and be on the lookout for more music.
