If you’ve just recently subscribed to Tidal, you might want to check your answering machine. Why? Well, there might be a familiar voice you didn’t expect to hear after the beep. Jay Z, along with a number of other music giants, recently acquired the digital music streaming service and Mr. Carter wants to personally thank you.
While not everyone should be holding their breath, a few lucky subscribers have actually received a phone call from Jay Z, and according to Business Insider, other “high profile” musicians like Jack White have been taking time to thank their users by phone call.
A cynical person might dub this a desperate attempt to get the streaming service off the ground, it’s sounding a little more like the single best customer service on the planet. Rumors that Kanye West‘s So Help Me God might drop exclusively on Tidal are already enough temptation to subscribe, yet a chance for a one-on-one with Hova himself is almost to0 good to pass up, just as long as he’s paying for the data.
