Since becoming a 2014 XXL Freshman, Chicago emcee Vic Mensa has been having one hell of a run, grabbing listeners by the ear, and taking hip-hop by storm. His biggest score, to date, would be his newfound alliance with Kanye West, as the pair have given us two crazy songs, in “Wolves” and “U Mad”.
Vic Mensa’s streak of good luck continued today as it was announced that he would be the newest signee to JAY Z’s Roc Nation imprint. Vic will be joining an already very talented roster that boasts acts like J. Cole, Rihanna, DJ Mustard and the aforementioned Yeezy.
Not only did Mensa seal the deal via Twitter, by tweeting “Savemoney Roc Boys”, but he also expressed his excitement by getting a Roc-A-Fella Records logo tattooed on his neck, as shown in the picture above.
