Mello Music Group finally come through with their label compilation, Persona. which is filled with “potent messages and poisonous darts.” The album consists of features from Ras Kass, Masta Ace, Open Mike Eagle and Quelle Chris.
Highlights include Eagle’s “Dark Comedy Late Show,” where producer Exile flips Toy Light’s beat for “Dark Comedy Morning Show” from the rapper’s 2014 LP, Dark Comedy. Along with a lot of wisdom being taught on this LP, this could be on the list of highly appreciative rap albums.
