These artists will come from all over the country & have various backgrounds but all their music will be unique in a way as they pave the way for the next wave of music. Enjoy!
1. DJ Marley Waters
Marley Waters has been putting in work for sometime now & has shown an impressive skill-set. Along with being a DJ & Producer, He is also an artist & brings us a great reggae/dance-hall influenced sound. He’s been on a roll with the releases & they only continue to sound better & better.
– What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
2015 is the year to over exceed. Each record that I produce for myself, or other artists; will be golden. The sound will continue to elevate and the world will become more familiar. I have artists on my roster that I am actively producing, developing, and launching this year. Very excited to announce these new projects. Now that the album, “Jamerican” is complete, my team is in the making of finalizing my first world tour.
– What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
The message of my music is for the people that come from sheltered backgrounds, dangerous cities, and shadowed outcomes. How I overcame the struggle that most people never get to witness because they are scared to break the norm and leap. Now that I am living in this moment, I want to inspire my audience to live their life with purpose and glorify what you live and standby.
– How would you describe your own sound?
My sound is hip hop, rap, r&b with a worldwide, dancehall urban appeal to it. Classic vibes of soulful music fused with new elements of trap and progressive melody.
– What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
Simplicity is key. Music is a flow. Creativity is a feeling.
2. Immerze
Vancouver has a talent in Immerze. Immerze comes with his own sound that he can use to fit the streets & the club scene if needed. The talented MC’s variety is nice to hear & as he continues to grow there’s no telling what he’ll give us next.
– What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
The biggest goal I hope to accomplish in 2015 is to just be heard everywhere. I want my music to reach to as many people as possible and across the world. I mean, I want to be in Barbershop conversations when they talk about who’s the nicest coming up!
– What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
The message I hope my music gives listeners is that we are the same person when it comes to the trials and tribulations we go through. What I want taken from my music is the notion that tough times do pass, and that it’s always okay to dream and envision how you want your life to be, and who you want to be in it, regardless of the highs and lows of life.
– How would you describe your own sound?
I would describe my sound as something that’s simply authentic. I’d also say soulful with a touch of ruggedness and a lot of honesty. In terms of the content, I don’t stray away from subject matter that I both know about first-hand, and also have experienced through other people. But I also feel like you start to loose authenticity when you start reaching beyond your element and your personal knowledge. And as far as production is concerned, I’m still experimenting to find that “IT” sound that works specifically for me and gives me my sonic identity. At the end of the day, whichever beat I feel brings my words to life and represents me is the one I usually turn to.
- What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned since I started making music is that you can’t please everyone, and never will. There will always be someone who just aint feeling your music, so instead of making it for them, I’ve learned to make the music I love to hear, and everyone who rocks with it. I respect opinions and if you don’t rock with it, whatever – but if you appreciate the music, that’s dope and I appreciate you too!
3. Radamiz
Radamiz comes out of New York pushing good music & a good movement. With his own flow, Radamiz provides listeners with music that everybody can relate to. The New York artist has set himself apart & looks to continue things going in 2015.
1. What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
That my family can finally stop doubting whether music is the right thing to invest all my time, money, and energy into. After graduating from NYU last August, things haven’t been the “best” job wise but so much dope shit has been happening musically. I’m hoping the release of my project “Writeous” this summer can change everything up for the better.
2. What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
One of the many messages is that “I’m with you”. To all those out there wanting to pursue something they love, that give a fuck about pushing humanity, pushing culture, creating a better life for their loved ones but are facing adversity to get those dreams out into the world – I’m with you. Always know that you’re the shit no matter what, if you have a dope point of view and have good intentions, you’ll be
big.
3. How would you describe your own sound?
– I hate answering this question, none of my answers ever really make sense. I guess……it’s human hip hop. it’s about giving a fuck.
4. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
When you spit from the heart, you can change someone’s life.
4. Logan
Out of Chicago, Logan comes packed with energy & a movement on his back. The talented artist has shown that he is capable of providing us with conscious lyrics while also providing us with music you can ride & vibe to. As he continues to grow as an artist, Logan gives us exciting music & continues to shine with his originality.
1. What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
Just to consistently progress as an artist and a creative. Nothing too extreme. If something comes outta nowhere that’d be dope. But I’m just enjoying the process.
2. What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
That it’s okay to be yourself. Have faith and believe no matter how bad things get. And don’t be afraid to express your true emotions.
3. How would you describe your own sound?
To be honest, I don’t know how I would describe my sound. I just know that when I make a track you feel it. Regardless of whatever emotion I’m trying to trigger or aim for. I make the listener feel.
4. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
I’ve learned that there are many ways to go about this life. And that every situation has its differences and you shouldn’t worry about the next man. I feel like I’ve learned a lot but I’m still the new guy and have tons more to learn. My journey has just begun.
5. MAHD
MAHD is a talented artist out of Detroit & has been on the rise. His real-life lyrics & ability to turn his life lessons into songs has made him a standout independent artist. While constantly building traction, the Detroit talent has constantly added more & more depth to his music.
1. What’s the biggest goal you hope to accomplish in 2015?
There’s 2 main goals for this year actually. I really want to get my numbers up this year. I’m trying to reach as many people as possible, so I’m working overtime because I feel I have something essential to bring to the hip hop table. Secondly, I’m working on headlining my own tour. That’s another goal of mine for this year.
2. What message do you hope your music gives to the listeners?
I just hope that my story can connect with the listener. Maybe you’ve been through something similar to whatever it is you’re hearing from me at the time and it gets you through. I speak from experience so if I’ve been through a certain thing, maybe the listener has been through it as well. I hope my story resonates.
3. How would you describe your own sound?
I’d describe my sound as a dope blend between boom bap hip hop and lyrics, meshed with the “turn up” feel of today’s generation, topped with a lot of musicality. Everything I came up on, in one.
4. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since making music?
I’ve learned that you have to work ten times harder than the next man just to give yourself a chance at being heard. Especially when you’re an artist like me that isn’t searching for a radio hit. Nothing is going to be handed to you in this game, you have to earn it. You’ll literally get out of this what you put into it.
