Before Larry June drops his Route To Spain EP tomorrow (March 25th), he delivers one last track, “Mobbin.” Produced by Steve Lean and Kid Naztee, the new release fits in with the rest of his recent releases like the OG Maco and Iamsu! assisted “Mad Now” and “Figure Me Out.” It’s a slow paced trunk rattler that is powered by heavy 808s.
“Mobbin” is a good indicator of what to expect on Route To Spain, which is a follow-up to his well-received Route 80 EP that featured his best work to date with popular cuts such as “My Paisa” and “Top Shelf.” Lean, who is part of the super producter collective known as 808 Mafia will be responsible for all of the production, making this June’s second collaborative effort with the talented collective.
