Fred The Godson and Bad Lucc deliver “Mayweather Pacquiao” off their upcoming joint project “Affirmative Action.” When scrolling through Twitter, I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw Fred (one of the best lyricists in the game) dropped new music. Then, to see that he linked with one of the better new artists from the West, (Bad Lucc, obviously) I did what any good blogger and fan of incredible Hip-Hop would do, opened my computer as fast as humanly possible. With the pending boxing match of the century in our sights, Fred and Lucc’s bars-over-everything approach to this record offers just that, bars. Impeccable punchlines and crafty wordplay form a metaphorically-centric “boxing” record that draws attention to the matchup. (Without ever really talking about boxing itself) Satire aside, “Affirmative Action” is going to change the game…literally.
