With the release date of Tha Carter V still unknown, Lil Wayne has announced an upcoming free album, The Free Weezy Album.
Weezy made headlines with his impromptu announcement yesterday morning over Twitter, leaving fans with the short message, “Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album. #FWA.”
This announcement comes after the growing dispute between Cash Money Records and Wayne, who is suing the label for $51 million for violating the contract made for his upcoming Tha Carter V album. The forthcoming lawsuit has kept the highly anticipated record on lock, but it seems like Weezy is making his own moves to push his artistic vision forward, despite the obvious setbacks he is facing.
What are your thoughts on Weezy taking things into his own hands?
