With almost an hour before 2014’s closing Kanye West released “Only One” featuring Paul McCartney. On the heartfelt track Kanye voices the words of his mother Dondra, who reminds him that even though she is gone physically she is always supporting him and watching from above.
Among the things that Donda reminds her only son this stands out, “Hello my only one remember who you are, no you’re not perfect but you’re not your mistakes.” As the song goes on his voice fades, and the instrumental takes on the soothing sound of a lullaby as a way to pay tribute to West’s only one–North. The track is now available on iTunes, but before you cop take a listen to it below.
