If there’s one thing Chief Keef has really mastered, its landing some rather big and rather unusual features. While industry giants like Kanye West are notably comfortable working with the rising Chicago talent on multiple occasions, it’s October’s Very Own that seems surprisingly next up to bat. About four months ago Keef and Drake started exchanging a few posts and laughs over Instagram, and since then, the two crews have no problem acknowledging each other over social media, leading many to speculate over possible material cooking up between them. While it may not be confirmed yet from either camp, Keef posted to Instagram on Saturday what looks like possible cover art for an upcoming collaboration between Keef’s Glo Gang and Drake’s OVO, hence the “GlOVO”. Even though these two artists are worlds apart when it comes to the style of their music, Drake is known for his love for Chicago’s music scene and his tendency to work on tracks outside his comfort zone, so at the end of they day it’s really not that ridiculous of an idea. As for the track itself, it’ll be very interesting to see how these two blend their polar-opposite sounds, and how well received their work will be.
