Hip-Hop fans were shocked when news broke that Lil’ Wayne and his “father” Baby were no longer seeing eye to eye and there’s a possible court case regarding the release of Tha Carter V looming. Neither party has addressed the situation publicly, besides a subliminal tweet here and there from Lil’ Wayne. A journalist from The Hollywood Reporter decided to ask Young Money’s songstress, Christina Milian, at the premiere of FOX’s new hit-series, Empire, to give her opinion on the beef brewing between the two iconic Hip-Hop figures.
Milian responded by saying “It’s a little difficult,” to the reporter. Then, she went onto say that “I’m on the same record label. I’m on Young Money, so it’s a little difficult when it comes to business. I understand the circumstance for all of them. I think everyone’s trying to work it out and I wish the best. Honestly it’s been an empire that has been built between Baby and with Lil Wayne. You can only hope for the best and big things for the both of them, that they continue this grind that they have. They basically paved the way for people like myself having the opportunity to become successful. I pray it all works out. I know he prays the same thing, nothing but the best.”
Milian hopes the two can mend their relationship, which will enable her to release new music sometime in the near future. It’ll only help her capitalize off of the reality show that follows her life, which is set to premiere on the E! Network later on this week.
