A piano riff collides with a hard hitting beat in Dylan Owen‘s latest track “Sail Up the Sun.” To kick off the song, Owen’s vocals break through the static to introduce the chorus, “Sail up the sun and keep your chin held high/ If you ever lose your breathe then you can inhale mine.” The song mixes in personal experiences, longing and a deep sense of nostalgia that is instantly relatable. Soft backing vocals from Alaska Sun wind up the song neatly, leaving fans with anticipation for Owen’s upcoming EP, There’s More to Life.
